Can I Use the App When Offline?
The app can function almost completely offline after you sign in to your account. Please note that taking readings offline for extended periods of time means the app may need longer to sync once you do go back online.
Things you can do offline:
- Take HRV readings
- View HRV results
- Record exercise, sleep and other data
- View population HRV data
- Change breathing and audio settings
Things you can't do offline:
- Switch users, register, or login
- Backup your data
- View results from long HRV readings (over 30 minute readings)
- Join or leave a Team
- View blog posts
- Submit help requests
IMPORTANT: once you go back online, be sure to sync your Elite HRV readings by pulling down on the Home screen. You can also leave the app open on the home screen for about 2-3 minutes to ensure it finishes syncing. For more tips on syncing, see this article: Tips for Syncing Your Readings
Some users have reported issues where their daily streak or Morning Readiness score does not appear when taking readings offline. If you experience this, please connect to Wifi or cellular data and allow the app to sync. Log out of the Elite HRV app, noting the email address you used to log in. Make sure you use the same email address to log back in. Once logged in, let the app sit open for about 2 minutes so the readings can start saving to the database.
We recommend syncing the app regularly, when possible. Your phone storage may limit how many offline readings can be saved to the app until the next sync.
